Cindy went "back to the land" in Southern Indiana in 1970 as part of the national movement that gave rise to Mother Earth News. She had no experience and little money but lots of passion for the adventure of sustainable living, and she has stuck to that dream for 53 years. She and her partner built a log cabin, planted an orchard, raised about every farm animal you can name, and lived without electricity for 20 years. Now, Cindy and Rod garden in Madison County where they established an e-market and delivery business for customers in Asheville.
