Bob is the author of Carrots Don’t Grow on Trees: Building Sustainable and Resilient Communities and a columnist for regional food and lifestyle magazines. After a successful business career and being the founder of multiple businesses in such diverse industries as manufacturing, licensing, publishing, and real estate development, Turner is now the owner of an organic farm and the Executive Director of the Creekside Farm Education Center. He is also a member of the Buncombe County Land Conservation Advisory Board and a dedicated advocate for small farms and sustainable food production. He joined the board in December of 2020.
