Seed saving is a magnificent skill and one that can help reduce costs, increase self-sufficiency, support genetic diversity, and improve plant adaptation to your area. Angie Lavezzo has been a backyard and professional seed saver for years. In this workshop, she will cover the importance of seed-saving, understanding seed packets and pollination, information on seed varieties, and techniques for saving different seed types and avoiding cross-pollination.
This class will take place on Tuesday, August 9 from 6-8 pm at the Smith Mill Works Greenhouse.
