About purchasing from Gaining Ground Farm...
“Quality people growing quality food. We are lucky to have them in our community.”
- Meredith, customer and manager of Living Web Farm
Our work schedule…
Our interns get a feel for what it takes to run a profitable diversified vegetable operation. You will be working alongside of us planting, weeding, harvesting, laughing, packing, and delivering vegetables. You will be attending market, delivering to restaurants, checking the cows, watering the pigs, setting up irrigation, trellising tomatoes and cleaning garlic.
Compensation offered...
You will have a bed in the loft of our packing house, or in one of our school buses. Kitchen, laundry, and bath are all provided. You will be working along side 4-6 other people. You will be working Monday - Friday and alternating weekend chores with co-workers. You will have full access to beef, pork, eggs, vegetables, and $800 dollars per month depending on experience.
To inquire about employment opportunities, please contact us by email between January and June.
About working for Gaining Ground Farm...
“Anne and Aaron make a great team. They have different backgrounds in farming, so between the two of them they have a lot of knowledge to share. I am farming on my own, now, after interning at Gaining Ground for two seasons, and I still ask them for advice and recommendations. Beyond farming, they are funny, kind people and I miss them all the time.”
- Catherine, former apprentice and owner of Warbler Creek Farm
This farm has no listed events, but is open to the public.
