Dig In! grows 1.5 acres of organic vegetables in diverse gardens and farms with our community in Yancey County. We believe in cultivating practices that provide fresh and nutritious food for everyone by harnessing the resources, diverse traditions, and vision of people who participate in our work. Our food is shared through community food and education programs. We operate Harvest Tables, which are similar to pop-up markets, weekly starting June through October. Seasonal workers join the Dig In! team during the growing season and include full and part-time interns. Volunteers work in the gardens twice weekly. We host students and community groups throughout the season to learn about resilient agriculture and community food systems.
