Healing with the 5 Elements
Explore the Power of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Patricia Kyritsi Howell
At the center of all healing traditions is this understanding: the essential energy and rhythm of the Earth elements manifest in and profoundly affect our health and well-being. Our task is to sharpen our ability to recognize these patterns that affect every living thing. Whether a healer by profession or for self and family, this day-long workshop will provide insight into the practical and poetic ways that elemental energies create symptoms of health and disease in the body, mind and spirit. Explore and understand this simple framework and you will begin to not only recognize patterns in radically new ways but also how to support changes that bring balance.

Additionally, we’ll discuss raised beds, fertilization and water, mulching systems, three-season cover cropping, harvesting tips and timelines, fall and winter pest pressure, increasing plant heartiness, pros and cons of coldframes and hoop houses, as well as proper storage for roots and greens. And let’s not forget to use the winter months for planning your spring garden.
