Congratulations are in order for Amber Emens, Rita Gowler, and Rain Parker! Amber, Rita, and Rain submitted essays to the 2017 Organic Growers Writing Contest with the hope of winning passes to the 24th Annual Spring Conference. They were asked to share personal stories about how their lives have been positively influenced by organic growing or Organic Growers School.


1st Prize: Amber Emens

Read Amber’s essay. Amber is receiving a three-day pass to the Spring Conference which includes an all-day pre-conference workshop on March 10.


2nd Prize: Rita Gowler

Read Rita’s essay. Rita is receiving a two-day pass to the Spring Conference which includes all classes and workshops on March 11 & 12.


3rd Prize: Rain Parker

Read Rain’s essay. Rain is receiving a one-day pass to the Spring Conference.
