Hannah was raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, and moved to WNC when she started her career with NC Cooperative Extension as a horticulture agent in Rutherford County. She holds a degree from The University of Georgia in horticultural sciences with an emphasis on sustainable food production and organic agriculture. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree through NC State University in agricultural and extension education. Hannah has previously worked on organic vegetable farms and is passionate about food production education and working with individuals and communities toward a just and equitable food system. Hannah lives in Hendersonville with her partner and enjoys gardening, roller skating, cooking and eating delicious food, snuggling up with a good book, and exploring the mountains on foot. She joined the board in December 2020.
