Come learn about justice through the lens of food and agriculture with Eric Holt-Gimenez, Executive Director of Food First, an independent think tank that creates research to support communities and organizers in food justice and food sovereignty movements.
This 1-hour Skype session will cover food sovereignty work happening in the US and globally, the importance of the Cuban organic agriculture movement, and an introduction to the food sovereignty organization Food First. There will be time at the end for Q&A. Also learn about Organic Growers School’s upcoming trip to Cuba with Tour Coordinator Sera Deva.
Participants will have the option to stay for a 45 minute showing of the film The Power of Community after the presentation.
