Join us for the 2024 Sow & Grow Fest located at Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview, NC.

Join Organic Growers School on September 14, 2024, for Sow & Grow Fest, a family-friendly event celebrating Western North Carolina’s vibrant food and farming community.

As part of Sow & Grow Fest, we’re hosting a community potluck from 1 to 2 p.m. to raise money for our Grow for Good Fund. We’ve paired our farm program students and alums with our board, staff, and partners to create delicious, farm-fresh dishes. This casual, fun event is a great time to share a meal with old friends and meet new ones. Bring your favorite dish to share and join the feast!

In addition, local musicians Laura Blackley and Ashley Chambliss will entertain you with their soulful sound. Meet other plant lovers at the seed and plant share and interactive gardening demonstrations. Rank the tastiest tomato with tomato tastings and enjoy local vendors, craft beverages, and fun family activities.

Admission to Sow & Grow Fest is free! Registration is encouraged but optional to attend.

Tickets for a community potluck lunch are also available for a suggested donation of $20 per person. You can also choose to bring a dish to share.

Celebrate the rich bounty of our region with us! We encourage you to include fresh produce or ingredients from your garden, a local tailgate market, or your favorite local farm. Feel free to bring an appetizer, salad, side dish, main dish, or dessert. Please indicate the category of your dish on the registration form.

You are welcome to make a donation in exchange for a potluck ticket, bring a dish to share, or do both!

A silent auction will be held online starting in August and running through Sow & Grow Fest. Some amazing items will be up for grabs, such as East Fork pottery, an Airbnb cabin getaway, an Asheville Artisan gift basket, a CSA share from Creekside Farm, and more.

You support Organic Growers School’s Grow for Good Fund with every potluck ticket donation and silent auction bid. The Grow for Good Fund supports farmer training programs, scholarships, mentorships, and our savings incentive program.
